Candle sales:

To date, we have almost $300.00 worth of candles sold. Last day to purchase is April 6^th. Remember your Mothers for Mother’s Day, and Teachers for all they do. We make 40% of all sales so please get the word out. Once all orders are collected and submitted, a time and date will be posted for pick up.

Sponsors:

A sponsor packet is being put together for everyone to see so they can go out and start getting sponsors for the upcoming season. We need to start now before others school beat us to the punch. Families can also sponsor and receive a tax credit for their donations.

“Tops” free physicals:

Free physicals are being put on this year here at Williams Field, Saturday April 28^th, forms are in the office with Kathy Morken. Also, students need to call Kathy Morken for an appointment, WF time slot is 7am.

Water sales:

We will be selling water at the Graduation again this year. We will also be selling special Graduation labeled water bottles printed up by a few football parents. We thank them in advance for the donation.

Spring Ball:

May spring ball will begin soon, and the team pot luck is scheduled for the 3^rd Friday in May. More information will be posted on the website. There will also be a football camp being held here at Williams Field the week of April 16^th- April 19^th, from 5:30-7:30, headed up by Coach Campbell. Age groups: 5^th grade thru 8^th grade. $10.00 per player and the player will receive a t-shirt.

Gold Canyon Candle Fundraiser:

The fundraiser for Gold Canyon Candles will run now through April 3^rd. Sales are available on our website, and PayPal is all set up and ready for us to use. There will be no sales tax, and the football booster will profit 40% of all sales. They will be in for pick up before Mothers day!!!!! Time and place will be posted on the website for everyone’s convenience.

WEBSITE UPDATE:

Leslie Gist heads up our website and we want to thank her for doing a great job. All categories are listed on front to make navigation easy for everyone, Coach’s News / Sponsors will be linked with Band and the HUSD sites so parents can be tuned into what is happening all around. Calendar link will have spring and summer schedule posted and also all the Varsity camps will be posted as soon as dates are confirmed. Sponsors are all listed and their websites will also be linked for all our families to show their support to all that support our program. A website ticker will be on top of site for all to see how many families travel to our site. We will also receive 50% of click profit for every click we get through our advertising. There will be a parent comment link for website suggestions and also an Iphone app straight to phones. AIA Power ranks link will be added and we are also working on stream lining our Varsity games from press box to website. Also Facebook and Twitter accts. will be added soon.

Sponsors:

It’s time to go out and start gathering Sponsors for the upcoming season. The Sponsor prices will be the same as last year, so if we get them now, they will get ½ year of advertising for free, great for them and their business.

The majority of our booster money comes from sponsors….the only way we are able to get sponsors is with the help of parents hitting the pavement and asking local business owners to donate to our wonderful program. The football club does not charge families to participate in the booster club, participate in spring ball, or summer competitions.  Please help our team by asking local business owners to sponsor our club.  We will be emailing a sponsor packet in the month of March so parents can print off and take with them.

We have to send out a Hugh Thank You to Keller Williams Realtors for their generous Donation of water. We will have water donated for the whole football season. And also a great big Thank you to the Ortega Family for his employer’s company donation of $500.00.

Coach Campbell’s update:

Coach would like Families to pay their athletic fees through Tax credit. The monies can be used to pay the coaches that don’t get paid from the district. We have 27 Coaches on staff and only 8 get paid. It would be wonderful if we can give the rest something to thank them for all their time and dedication they bring to our boys and our program.

Off season speed and agility camp for 5^th –8^th graders being held in April, 16^th- 19^th. Cost $10.00. This will be for in and out of boundary students.

Off season after school lifting for all non spring sport football players is still going on. All should be attending…

Through the weight chart in the weight room we have 93 players on our Varsity roster. Varsity will have 12 days off this summer before they go up to Varsity camp, in July. The fee this year, $155.00- $160.00, which can be paid through Tax credit if parents want to do it that way. There will be a few more camps set up for Varsity:  NAU- June 16^th  7×7 competition/playoff

U of A  June—2^ND Saturday,   7×7 players (no lineman)

ASU    June 4^th-9^th   Monday/Wednesday/Friday ALL

Hunger Games Movie Premiere, March 22nd, 2012, waiting on contract to be in within the next week or two.
Avengers movie Premiere, May 4th, 2012.
We will be able to sell tickets on line with PayPal and have our customers pick up their tickets at the front door.

Gold Canyon Candles—We will be hosting an online Candle party, just in time for Mother’s Day. Buy your candles online and have them delivered by Mothers day. We will have scents and sizes available very soon, posted up on our website. The club will make 40% of all sales and will NOT be charged SALES TAX!!!!!
This fundraiser will be able to bring all our families, in state and out of state together to help raise money for our Football Program and our Players.

Raffle off A Trip to Hawaii for two, or an Alaskan Cruise for two. Value up to $4000.00. Selling tickets for $20.00. Names to be picked at the last Home Varsity game of the 2012 season. Other raffle items to also be raffled off at the home Varsity games. Further details will be discussed at a later date.

Program Advertisements:
All advertising pricing has not changed. Go out and get our Sponsors for next year and their advertising will include and extra 6 months of free advertising. Their website will be hyperlinked from ours to theirs so all our traffic will see theirs. Also, If there are sponsors that just want a website ad there is a fee of just $100.00. Let’s hit the pavement before other schools beat us to the sponsors!! All parents are welcome to get sponsors for our program. All sponsor forms are on the website.

Aims Breakfast February 28th-29th 2012
The Football Booster Club along with Parent volunteers and other school clubs, come together those two mornings to feed a healthy breakfast to all our Sophomore and some Junior students before they take their tests. If you would like to volunteer or send in donations, please send an email to a  Booster Club Member and arrangements will be made to gather them up. Thank you for your support and help.

Coach Campbell’s Update:
Small ticket items needed for the program, Play Maker Pro software for computer, $200.00. Remote for editing system of software-Huddle. Needed to input data into system easier, so that players can go home and pull up site and see what they need to improve on, and go over plays to improve their skills. $97.00.

Summer Passing Leagues Scheduled:
NAU $600.00, U of A $300.00, and ASU $500.00

The program would like to hire a video person to come to practices and take videos. Then upload them along with the game video, to “Huddle”. It will only benefit our players have this available to them to help them improve their skills.

Summer Schedule is available on the website.
Coach would like a big push for our parents to use “Tax- Credit” that money goes into the boys fund for the boys. It’s a win/win for all.
Coach is holding upcoming camps;
1-    Spring camp April 16th  7th and 8th graders
2-    WF off season conditioning and agility camp 5th – 8th graders 2 days a week, $80.00,  February 20th –April 16th.

Off season weights -  every day after school till 3:30 if player is not in a spring sport.
